“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones.” – Proverbs 3:5-8 (ESV)
It’s important as we run into conflicts and struggles in our lives, that we recognize our fundamental dependence on God, and seek His guidance rather than relying solely on our own meager understanding. When we proceed as one with our Heavenly Father, we find the wisdom and inner strength to not only weather our trials, but to triumph over them.

I’m self-employed, father of two wonderful young men, an ordained minister who delights in spreading Jesus’ Message of Hope and Love, a science-fiction junkie, an aspiring photographer and above all that one of God’s Children who rejoices in His Blessings each day.

Some of my favorite verses… have a blessed day Phil and a wonderful weekend!
I really needed to hear these words today, Phil. I can’t rely on my own understanding, because I don’t understand any of it. But God! Thank you for reminding me, once again, to lean on God and give all my burdens to Him. I don’t want to just survive; I want to thrive!
Many blessings sweet friend! 🙂
Proverbs 3:5-6 is my absolute favorite verse ever!
Such a wonderful passage, Phil! I love leaning on Him!
Blessing to you!
Great reminder. We are to depend on Him with All our heart and in All our ways.
So true. It is a matter of trust and belief: that His ways are higher than ours and we can rest in knowing that all things work together for the good if we love him. It is so easy to get caught up in the here and now,
