Dear Lord; In yesterday’s email Lord I focused on selfishness whereas today, I’d like to talk about selflessness. Today, in our Country we celebrate Veteran’s Day. I’m privileged to know, and have known quite a few people in the Military over the years as well as their families and I can honestly say that in my opinion, what they do for us is one of the most selfless pursuits someone can take. Therefore as we focus on their sacrifices, selflessness and contributions to our Country today, I ask that You Bless these honorable men and women. Please protect them, and keep them focused and heartened against doubt so that they may know that what they do is valued and very much appreciated. Amen. ~Phather Phil

Dear Lord; Now and again, we all have times where we suffer from some level of self-doubt. In my case, challenges and burdens from the last couple of weeks caught up with me over the weekend and shook my self-confidence quite a bit. While there’s no way to just “get over it” when it comes to confidence issues, I have found that retuning my focus can help substantially. By shifting my attentions to helping someone else with their problems, or doing things from which I feel some personal accomplishment I can usually shift my thinking to be more attuned towards success. Heavenly Father, please help those who are living with self-doubt and fear feel Your Light. Let them, if only for a moment see themselves from Your Gaze, and know they are worthy of success. Dear Lord; It’s often said that we’re our own worst critics. I know in my case, that’s usually true. With the times we live in it seems we’re constantly deluged with negative information from all sides, which can make even the strongest of us start to feel overwhelmed and beaten. Once that happens, our day-to-day tasks take on a whole new perspective, and self-doubt can creep in. Please help us focus on the positives in our lives, and to see our daily trials for what they truly are. Raise Your Blessings in our hearts and minds, and give us the strength to go forward in Your Grace. Amen. ~Phather Phil

Dear Lord; Friday morning at the office started with a couple phone calls from clients who were absolutely “freaked out” due to problems with their computers. Neither were serious, and both were remedied quickly but the extreme reactions the people gave made me revisit the “it’s all little stuff” thought. Thank you for helping keep me grounded, and seeing what’s truly important. Amen. ~Phather Phil

With a seemingly immense number of projects and issues to deal with both professionally and personally, it’s difficult to pin down a starting point at the moment.
